Song about 'Malaysia Chabor' goes viral

Joyce Chu, the 17-year-old YouTube singing sensation from Johor Baru, is making waves on Internet with her catchy hit Malaysia Chabor(Malaysian girl).
Just a week after it was uploaded, the song has gone viral, generating a staggering 2.3 million views with steadily climbing numbers.
In the song, written and composed by rapper-songwriter Namewee, Joyce tells viewers that she is a "Malaysian Chabor" and not Korean, as many have assumed her to be.
"I'm from JB, a place near Singapore. I'm a true Malaysian girl. I know kimchi tastes delicious, but my favourite is cendol and keropok," she proudly sings while playing the ukulele.

She also pokes fun at the idea of plastic surgery, a popular trend in South Korea, and takes a light-hearted jab at those who accuse her of going under the knife.
"Thank you for 'following' me day and night, although I know you're actually criticising me. About my face, nose, chin, eyes and dimples, everything is fake including my ears," Joyce chirps.

Very cute lyrics and interesting song....nice! Another namewee creation :)

Subsidised Fuel For Users Earning Below RM5k, Limited Quota For Those Between RM5k to RM10k

Following yesterday’s report on the government’s proposal to limit the sale of subsidised petrol and diesel only to eligible motorists, the Sin Chew Daily reports that among the qualifying criteria mooted is to limit it to motorist driving vehicles below 2,000cc and earning below RM5,000 per month.
The criteria will apply to both private and company-registered vehicle.

Those earning between RM5,000 to RM10,000 will reportedly be getting subsidised fuel as well, but limited to only 300 litres of RON 95 petrol and diesel.
Those earning above RM10,000 per month, as well as motorists in a foreign registered car will have to purchase fuel at market prices.

However the daily adds that the details of the implementation have yet to be finalized.
Separately, the New Straits Times quoted Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Hasan Malek as saying “We are reviewing a few proposals now. Among the suggestions are introducing fleet cards, integrating nanotag technology and imposing quotas.”

Hasan added that a final decision has yet to be made. “The cabinet will then decide and work out the new method,” he said.
My oh my, another round of petrol price increase again....cronies earning more and more, and we the citizen suffer even more...when will this stop !!?!?!!

'Line Not So Clear' At Nasi Kandar Outlet...alamak !!!

GEORGE TOWN, June 2 (Bernama) -- A dispute over the rotation of management at the Line Clear Nasi Kandar Restaurant here has forced the Penang Island Municipal Council (MPPP) to issue an ultimatum to the four partners.

MPPP Licensing Division director Azman Sirun has asked them to resolve their dispute in two weeks or face eviction as three of the partners had set up stalls in a back lane near the restaurant in Jalan Penang, causing clutter and unhygienic conditions.

He said the MPPP was informed that one of the four partners had refused to abide by an arrangement that had been in force since the 1950s whereby the partners would take turns annually to operate the outlet.

"A meeting was arranged between the MPPP Licensing Division and the traders on June 28, 2013. However, no understanding was reached in determining the rotation of management.

"We wrote to them on Dec 23, 2013, advising them to find a solution and submit the documents on the arrangement among them," he told reporters after a meeting with three of the partners here today.

Azman said that if the four partners did not come to an agreement in two weeks, the Licensing Division would issue a notice of eviction so as to reorganise the hawker activity there in accordance with the by-laws of the MPPP.

He said the stalls set up by the other partners at the back lane had resulted in clutter and unhygienic conditions.

What happened??? If they continue like this, sooner or later LineClear will be all cleared out !!! For the sake of business, they should work together...it's not like Penang Nasi Kandar competition is not stiff...
