Several roads in Penang will be closed to traffic today for the celebration of the second anniversary of George Town’s listing as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Lebuh Armenian, Lebuh Cannon and Lebuh Acheh will be closed from noon to midnight, the Penang Municipal Council said in a statement yesterday.
It said the stretch of Lebuh Chulia between Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling and Lebuh Pantai would be closed from 7am to midnight while part of Jalan Pintal Tali between Lebuh Campbell and Pesara Clamant would be closed from 4pm to midnight.
Part of Lebuh Buckingham between Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling and Lorong Seck Chuan will be closed from 11pm yesterday until midnight today.
The council said road signs and barriers would be put up to divert traffic.
