Those interested to learn more about income tax deductions and filing their income tax online are encouraged to attend the Tax Payers’ Awareness Day in Penang on April 13.It is organised by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDNM).
The event will be held at the Penang Skills Development Centre in Bayan Lepas from 9.30am to 4pm.The session is held as part of LHDNM’s commitment and MIA’s initiative to improve the compliance rates among Malaysian taxpayers and to promote the use of the e-Filing system.
LHDNM officers and MIA representatives will be present during the event to assist and attend to taxpayers.An e-Filing kiosk will be set up to allow taxpayers to e-file their income tax returns on the day. Admission is free.
