16 Sep: Malaysia Day or Reformation Day

It's 16 Sep 2008. Today is the day where our country Malaysia was formed. It was the day Sabah and Sarawak joined Malaya while Singapore left the country to become an independant nation, thus forming Malaysia. However, what people is focusing today will be whether Opposition Collition Pakatan Rakyat are able to form the new government from the current government led by Barisan National. Opposition leader Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim publically declared that he already have the enough number of MP to crossover from BN, enabling the opposition to take over and form the new government. However, Prime Minister Dato Seri Ahmad Badawi claimed that he will not meet Dato Seri Anwar until the list of crossover MP to be made public...
The turn of events has led to foreign media closely monitoring our political situation while our share market has fallen sharply to closed at just above 1000 point today. Expect the saga to continue as Anwar has given Abdullah 2 weeks to handle the issue and ensure a smooth transition. So...more to come...sit tight and hold back!
