After the midweek opening of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup 1st round matches, it's back to the domestic league this week. Gameweek 5 will see my favourite club Arsenal travelling to Reebok Stadium to face Bolton. After their heroics last weekend where they trashed Blakcburn at E-wood Park 4-0 courtesy of Adebayor scoring his hattrick, Arsenal were brought back down to earth with a 1-1 draw in the Champions League with Dynamo Kiew. How they pick themself up remains to be seen but on paper everyone will predict them to pick up maximum points from this trip.
Currently sitting 3rd on the table after 4 games with 9 points, they are up against Bolton side sitting at 13th places with 4 points. Personally, I feel that Arsenal needs to win this game in order to keep up with pace setters Chelsea and Liverpool in order not to slip up and trail behind with a bigger gap so early in the season. However Arsenal also need to learn the lesson from last season where they led for so long throughout the season only to finished 3rd across the line. With 2 away games played so far, Arsenal have won 1 and lost 1 and this is a bit worry sign for me. Coupled with undesirable results against Bolton in recent years, I really do hope that the players can focus on their game and play to their true ability. Let's hope Fabregas and co. don't let us down and keep the free-scoring team going on strong. C'mon Arsenal !!!
